The Railway Employee’s Cultural Association, Kharagpur, a registered society under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, has been actively engaged since 1984 in the promotion of socio-cultural, religious, and philanthropic activities. The Association is dedicated to fostering communal harmony, national integration, and social welfare through various programs and initiatives.
Shri Jagannath is common for people. He loves his devotees. Therefore the primary focus of the temple is to make it a place to attract people to his abode without any bias, caste, creed, religion, colour and language. This socio cultural institution devoted to him and his philosophy must remain apolitical.
This Jagannath Temple is expected to be a center of attraction to which the people would love to come and spend some time to uplift them spiritually and culturally. An institute that propagates the universal brotherhood and universal religion and cultural philosophy of the almighty without any bias towards caste, creed and religion. An institution that will help in promotion of education and socio cultural program

35+ Years

The Railway Employees Cultural Association decided to construct a Sri Jagannath Temple over the railway land in the year 1990 and laid the foundation on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya in the year 1992.
