Bastra Bitaran Seva

Food, Water, Clothes, and Shelter are the four essential need for sustenance of human beings. The Bastra Bitaran Seva (cloth distribution) is a social service to support the distress people, who are exclusively in need of the Cloth. This is a very virtuous works of the devotee organised by the Temple. The phrase "Service to Mankind is Service to God" was said by Swami Vivekananda. He taught that true worship involves selfless service to others, viewing every human being as a manifestation of the divine. Vivekananda's philosophy emphasized that serving the needy is a way to serve God directly, a concept he referred to as "Jiva Seva" or service to the common people. The devotee usually donates the cloth to the Brahmin (the priest) of the temple and the poor people through the temple manager to have blessings of the Lords. Giving selflessly helps individuals detach from material possessions and focus on spiritual growth. Acts of charity can cleanse negative karma and promote a smoother spiritual journey. In the winter, the devotee generally donates blanket and warm clothes to the needy by the assistance of Temple Manager.
